Stoke on Trent Foodbank
We visited the central warehouse in Burton to find out how all the food donations are stored and distributed in Stoke on Trent. We even helped to sort out some of the food. Later we visited a nearby food Bank and learnt how the food is given to those who need it. We learnt that the food banks provide lots of other services as well as food.
St George and St Martin's is a Foodbank Collection Point.
Children in Need
Thank you so much to everyone who donated to Children in Need through buying badges, ears and bracelets. We raised an amazing £248.29. Well done!
Mini Vinnies
Some of our Key Stage 2 children are ‘Mini Vinnies’. Mini Vinnies is part of the St Vincent de Paul Society and works to help those in need.
Recently, they have raised money to buy Christmas gifts for our friends at Northwood Day Care Centre.
