School Fundraising Community
“Let’s have fun and raise money for our children”
Here at St. George and St. Martin’s we are very proud of our active fundraising community. We organise many fun events for all of the pupils in school as well as raising valuable funds for the school which enable us to enrich the curriculum and provide additional resources for teaching and learning.
All parents automatically become members of the S.F.C. when their child joins the school – so why not make the most of your membership and come along to one of our informal meetings? Teaching staff, support staff, governors and children are all welcome to attend the meetings and contribute to the fundraising events of the S.F.C.
We meet termly to discuss future events and would very much value any additional support you can give or any ideas you have and you will always receive a very warm welcome at any of our meetings or events.
As you would expect, donations play a very big role in our fundraising efforts – these might include donations for raffles and competitions or maybe you work for a company who discards goods when they can’t be sold or would negotiate a great price for items we can sell at one of our “fundraisers”.
Events organised by the S.F.C. include: School Discos, Christmas Shops, Mothers & Fathers Day Shops as well as the Summer Fayre and Family Evenings and much more.
If you feel that you can help in any way at all, please speak to Mrs. Bedson or just come along to a meeting.
